Dr. Steven Gray

Dr. Steven Gray is a board certified pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in complex maltreated children (www.grayneuro.com). Bringing a unique style of humor and help to serious issues, this seminar focuses on how an individual child's specific underlying root causes can be unearthed, setting the stage for effective intervention. Dr. Gray will also tell about the power of skillfully combining psychotropic medications along with neurofeedback to help heal the brains of highly challenging youth impacted by early trauma. His seminars rely heavily upon audio-visual aids and are extremely parent-friendly. Ample time is allowed for audience questions, both throughout and at the end of his seminar.
Dr. Gray's 26 years of clinical experience have molded his clinical approach that is both pragmatic and parent-friendly. His call in life is helping families who struggle with the nuclear fall-out of early childhood trauma such as abandonment, abuse, and neglect. He has worked hard over the years to develop the skill of translating psychobabble into actual English, as evidenced by his two books: The Maltreated Child: Finding What Lurks Beneath, and Motivating Marvin: Helping Your Bright Underachiever Succeed in School.
With offices in Colorado Springs and Dallas, Dr. Gray has also served as clinical assistant professor at the University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center since 1988.
